Good Vikram,

V Kishor, a genius u can say, is still undergoing trauma of the torture Eenadu inflicted on him, very long back. Despite his concerns for health he made work between 10 pm to 5am even today. This example is enough to know Eenadu’s treatment. The undefined rule in Eenadu is that if an employee runs a desk for two years, he will be promoted. But Kishor already served more than three years as the Internet desk in-charge.

You know! Aditya's death makes most pathetic film story of Hollywood. Eenadu was really cruel to him and had not done anything to save him. I'm sorry. But Ramoji must already be taking that 'papam' result.

And I think MNR is intelligently planning to save his image and career in the long run despite being the top guns in Eenadu. Hearsay is that he does so many surveys with Eenadu reporters across the AP for Jayaprakash Narayana. His speeches always are very carefully carved. Don’t underestimate him. He is a master spin doctor. When you talk everything good about Eenadu, people brand u as advocating and don’t believe u. MNR talks as if he has his own values and at a time worried about his master’s policies. It is all part of the big game. It is to save his image so that he can also preach positive his high level circle and meetings like yesterday’s about his master (Ramoji). (See, you were also trapped. You said that sometimes he expresses his worry over the policies of his management. I told that he was master spin doctor.)

You better take the version of Mr. Pillai to know how MNR played the game with him to revise their Sunday edition and after successfully doing it, how he roped in Ms. Krishnaveni, the women who is hated most (check if I’m wrong) by her own subordinates, to replace Mr. Pillai. My sympathy with the poor fellow.

Thanks

u r right. but in case of vakkalanka kishore its very bad. coz his brother Mr. Ramana got pramotion as a Sr. sub editor. And kishore's all batchmates got upto Asst chief Sub editors. but what abt kishore. still he is sub editor. means is he same with a tr. sub editor who just came into eenadu.

nijam cheppalante eenadu lo unna chala koddimandi medhavullo (medhavulu anukune vallalo kadu) kishore is best. he is a versatile genius. kani bad luck. any way oka vihayam gurthu unchukovali.... surudini evaru aapaleru. grahanam vachina kontakalame aa tarvata malli suryudu vachestadu. EENADU peddalara eppatikyna real talent gurtinchandi. kevalam HADAVIDI CHESE paatrikeya "MOORTHU" lane meeru talent unnavallu anukuntunnaru.

But there is no mention of HRK. He also had quit the eenadu group for some reasons related to his literary writings. I do not understand why the blogger forgot to mention his name.

Need bit of Headline clarification. Thats OK to say 'taram maarutondi... Dora swaram maarutondi'

Is it the change of employees 'taram' like Keshav or Management 'taram' like Kiron and MNR. Which one is driving a change in Eenadu policies.

I think it is Keshav's. Had he been punished that of like Mr. Kishor and Mr. Pillai. He would have entered the doors those have already opened to him.

u silly, Don't ask me like an innocent. u know verywell which doors they are.

Eenadu is on the defence move or what?

Vikram, Neeku Eenadu personal department lo kooda sources unnayaa? Otherwise, how did you get to know what Kishore said in his reply? That’s there only in records. None knows it. Kishore is not a loose cannon, he would not tell any one. How did you get to know about it? I am curious. Your supporting network is great!

By the way are you supporting MNR or faulting him? I am not sure. You should have been clearer. I know MNR personally. There is no reason to fault him. In fact all the three you named, KSR, Kishore, Suresh, have very good relations with him, the last two even visit him at his house, ignoring their problems at work.

You were right. MNR is among the few who still believe in professional values. He would have done a lot in life if his ECJ students learn from his values and concern for the society. My suggestion is not to criticize the few who are known for some values and stand up to them in life.

keep blogging

Chivaraku migiledi..
Whatever may be the manipulations of MNR, the poor guy never made any assets for himself. He is also a sincere ‘spoon’ like SR. People like BCs made money.. this guy has only one agenda -- Doraseva. I worked 16 years with e-group. I know what will happen when you walkout of the group. What will happen to MNR after 2 years? Dora told his intimate staff to wait for 6 months. He knows that the new channels and new newspapers are run by the people with short-term goals. Most of them lack the credibility themselves. He wants to give as much freedom as possible to the employees for these 6 months. After that he will become the same old Dora. Like an old Telangana dora, he is eagerly waiting the Nizam’s (CBN) arrival

Vikram,
This story is simply supurb. It is true that people like Kishore were ignored by the management. My point is that, if MNR is sincere, he should have tried for the promotion of Vakkalanka Kishore, the genious in Eenadu. Similarly MNR dumped his own people like Ramu, who played a crucial role in general desk and the central editorial board. Ramu quit the organization, joined the ACJ and got a job with The Hindu. The same MNR made Ramana, brother of Kishore, to write political satire on special pages of the elction cells and didn't pay a single paise. But I can say you that MNR is good charecter to watch. He preaches secular values to the public and sides with Kamma sangam.
The usage of MNR picture is a good idea. Keep writing more about Eenadu and TV-9.

The Mahavishnu of Mount Road has sold its soul to marketing forces.
While the editorial is asked to cut costs on lights and sign registers for dinner during night duty, the advertising and circulation departments enjoy junkets to Ramoji Film City and Kovalam in Kerala. If rumours are to be believed, the next get-together is going to be in Malaysia !!
While ad and circulation executives become assistant regional managers (ARMs) in a few years, old timers in the editorial rot. Let it be clear that if circulation has gone up its not because of the hindu's circulation department, but thanks to Times of India and the one rupee offers. The number of exits from the editorial across the country is one proof of step-motherly treatment it gets. N. Ramoji, in his anxiety to copy the original, has begun the Asian College of Journalism as a source for cheap labour, quite similar to Eenadu's College of journalism.
Editorial bosses, loyal yes-men of N. Ramoji, get the crumbs and are happy to bend over backwards to please their master. The mediocrity and compromise patent of N. Ramoji's regime is the lowest in the paper's over 125 years history. How else can you explain the rejection of ramkaran, whose competence and independence would have left Jayant and company feeling threatened ?
The credibility it built for over a century is being steadily impaired by cowardly reporting about speeding taxis and small-time auto-drivers. The paper can only attack small-fry and has no guts to tackle the likes of Ramoji. Publication of rejoinders/clarifications/corrections in full sow seeds of doubts into minds of readers, who fail to understand the anxiety of the management to ignore truth and also to sideline the editorial. Its only a matter of time before hindu's reputation for accuracy becomes no better than Ramoji's.
This blog should continue to target Ramoji, for he's the reason for journalists being seen as extortionists, blackmailers, brokers and worse by patronage of the contributor system. Press freedom never existed for the ordinary journo. Since 60 years of independence, there have been not more than six wage boards, delayed and denied through the money muscle of newspaper managements that spend crores on litigation. What is so sacred of the print media that there should be no foreign investment in it ? For decades now, INS has arm-twisted governments in keeping foreign investment out. But the same marketing forces will ensure entry of foreign publications and thereby better professionalism.
Well-wishers of journalists should show the way out to those wanting to quit, for it would be freedom from bonded labour.
