It’s official now! The first channel promoted by realtor and businessman Narendranath Choudhury is all set to flash on the small screens by June this year. NTV advertised for young TV journalists on Wednesday.
We learn that licensing and connectivity process is going on smoothly and delay-causing glitches are unlikely. A Rs 6-crore deal was inked recently to install edit suits and other technical infrastructure. NTV is going in for AVID edit systems for high-quality output.
Construction of Studios and News Rooms and an administrative block is under way at a location that’s on way to Apollo Hospitals at Jubilee Hills.

S R Ramanujan who has the experience of launching 10 channels at ETV, is busy in his new avatar as the CEO. For the old war horse who has been out of action for a while, the cables and systems must be smelling like napalm in the morning! We are sure he can’t wait to have a go at it!
Ex-Eenadu & Ex-Jyothi Kommineni Srinivasa Rao, now Executive Editor at NTV, has already planned his new team. NTV’s ad is only to recruit the foot-soldiers, fresh and raw hands. KSR has broadly decided whom he would poach from papers he worked earlier. It is very likely that some good hands from ETV, Eenadu and Andhra Jyothy may join NTV days before its launch.
I Satyanarayana, earlier associated with ETV, Eenadu, Andhra Jyothy and Vissa, may be assigned the task Editor-Output. Suryadevara Madhu Babu, who was with Eenadu Business Desk for 20 years, is the Business Editor. Business News is one segment that is nobody’s strength among the existing Telugu channels and Madhu Babu’s effort would be to use all his experience and exploit this opportunity. (This time around he might pull it off without Kidambi’s able guidance)
Vinayeswar, an experienced producer now with TV 9, is all set to join the new channel. Vinay worked for ETV for a long time and later at Vissa before jumping ship to join TV9. He will be the Chief Producer, responsible for PCR operations and On-line assignments. More producers from TV 9 might follow him to NTV.
If the Wednesday's Ad is any clue, NTV’s focus would be more on outdoor i.e. reporting section, than the desk. The thrust would be on Reporter-driven ‘live’ hungama. Desk may be relegated to a secondary role. Well, that means an action-replay of all the blunders that overenthusiastic TV9 reporters committed in the initial months of launching the Channel in 2004. Hope KSR would avert that.

This is the only article which suits the bloggs name all others are vengence. I pray to god at least this jobless fellow will join NTV
I am very surprised and happy to see this blog become a medium of insider events in AP Journalism!
Keep focus on issues. It could be another mini-microsoft blog some day!
Good luck!
As commented earlier in this blog, reporters, on-line producers has to be under kommineni to bring some meaningful output. Other two old horses as u said are outdated ones. one of the reporter in vissa tv committed suicide. another one murdered. a district reporter received direct threat from a police inspector with a 'cc' to the editor (guess who) a reporter in adilabad district was tied to a pillar throughout the night. two district-level reporters quarred more than reporting over supremacy in Vizag. This is the mess vissa editor created
I think you forgot to write about the caste infight in NTV.
Ram Mohan says:
Taaza khabar:
Marar replaces KS Sarma as Maa TV CEO
Maa TV Network has appointed Sharradh Marar as its chief executive officer. He replaces former Prasar Bharati CEO KS Sarma who has been in charge for only a few months.

heard that a reporter from maatv close to TRS circles is joining NTV with blessings of minister shabbir ali. if this is true, let me wish him all success for his collections for his seniors as he did earlier
Ramanujam, an old horse can do nothing after being idle for a long time. It is true that he was there in ETV whenn many channels were started, but his role was very much minimal. All the work was taken care by the technical department only. So, it is doubtful as to how best he can bring out a channel. Only his vengeance against Ramoji Rao do not suffice to launch a successful channel.
Hey, don’t try to portray Mr.IS as a villain. He is a very nice chap in the contemporary Telugu journalism. He is harmless, I can say with the two decades of acquaintance I have with him. He is not responsible for the suicide or murder of reporters. The beauty of Mr.IS is…he doesn’t care caste equations. What matters to him is only quality.

This is an extension of the so called Taja Khabar :
It is true that Mr. Sharad Marar replaced Mr. Sharma, ex CEO of Prasara Bharathi but it is also true that Mr. Sharma is going to stay back in Maa TV as an Adviser. So, he will get his annual package of Rs 40 lacs per annum as usual. That too, sitting pretty at home.
As for I.S. is concerned, he is a good man and the editor has nothing to do with the murder or suicide of his staff for their personal reasons. But a good man need not be a good editor. That much I can say. It will be very easy for SR and IS to be compatible since they are business partners earlier ( even now ) doing certain programmes for the government )
Those who were out of Vissa TV and are not given a chance are creating rumours against Satyanarayana. Let the comments be on the managements and their strategies, not on the poor journalists. If we start mud-slinging, we will become a laughing stock. Let us be decent.
Unfortunately some witch hunters are misusing this platform to vent their spleen against professionals who once questioned their credentials. I am referring to a comment in which stated that a particular reporter from MAA TV was joining NTV on Shabir Ali's reccomendation. This kind of unsubstantiated comment can emanate only from a sick mind. My only advise to such persons is to first rectify his own deficiencies and develop a constructive attitude, instead of wasting time spreading a hate campaign.
hai guys at apmedia
