Let Truth Prevail

Murthy, a torn page

Eenadu chairman Ramoji Rao is known for being very sparing in complimenting his employees, typical of a Scorpio. The fastidious media baron was highly generous in one case: “Eenadu has created history… Ramoji is a chapter in the history book of Eenadu.. Murthy is a page in it,” he said about D V V N H S Murthy, chief reporter, ETV. The ONE PAGE Murthy resigned on Thursday. A few days more in service, Murthy would have completed TEN years at Eenadu. Had he waited for just couple of weeks and resigned in February, he would have got Gratuity benefit. Yet, the star performer, known for his investigative reports, made a hurried exit because “no self-respecting individual can take it when his integrity is questioned.” The man is holidaying in Kakinada and would be hotly pursued by other media houses once he returns. Murthy’s exit comes close on the heels of two others leaving Eenadu, including another senior and talented resource Goparaju Radhakrishna.

Some people in software industry hate Narayana Murty. Some even go to extent of saying that he is a hypocrite. Some others come up with the websites like http://kamalsinha.com.Because, some people are jealous of the success he had attained. But for most of the people and outsiders,he is a great man.

Now lets draw a parallel, you guys hate Ramoji because you may be jealous of EENADU or Eenadu employees or probably Ramoji is wrong. But for outsiders,he is still a great man.Just remember Margadarsi issue. If there is no Ramoji, people would have thronged to Margadarsi offices demanding their money.

And my sincere request for GreatAndhra.com people, don't copy the contents of this blog.I hope greatandhra people are reading this comment.

Hey Bolger,

You know what? For the last two Posts there was a negative response. Indeed, there were more negative comments. Can you guess why? There is a deliberate effort is going on in Eenadu to discourage you whenever they get an opportunity like in case of ‘double pleasure for Kiron’. Look at Eenadu, any lapse in the Government, even by lower grade officers; Eenadu tries to show it as the direct lapse of the Ministers and CM. Same effort is being made here. Be aware Vikram. Inside info: I don’t know why but Eenadu general desk in-charge Mr. Rahul is a lot worried man. He discusses apmedia issues with other senior colleagues in Eenadu and comments that might be people in their department’s giving inside news to apmedia. I really doubt, he may be pretending like he is a worried man for Postings on Eenadu. After all, that is what Eenadu encourages, right?

We Do Agree With You. EENADU is a big 'Visha Vruksham'. We Do Agree With You. We Do Agree With You. We Do Agree With You. But... be patient. plz don't post comments only on eenadu. because it will dilute your credibelity. we all are with you. You are doing a good job. people think eenadu is a great company like that. but you people are bringing the second side of that coin. But do it in a ighter way.

I hope You got my point..

Murthy ( I call him bavmardhi), I congratulate u for your decision. U should have quit ETV long ago. Ur a man of brilliant journalist qualities and u need to work in TV channels, which respect hardwork and your integrity. Like film stars, TV journalisits should earn money ( through hard-earned salaries)when they are in their prime. Go ahead! Put a whopping price on your head and do a wonderful job. I wish u sport the goatie all over again. U look smart with a goatie. All the best.

Yes 1st comment is very true, why dont you write about vaartha, AJ and Bhoomi. I have some friends, they dont even get salaries regularly at vaartha. why dont bloger only focus about Eenadu?

Anonymous said...

Thank God!! He decided to quit at least now. Despite several requests from family and friends to leave ETV he slogged in the company and worked for pittance. Murthy's exit is Eenaadu's loss and other media houses gain.

hi vikram can u make a quick survey about journalists of ap..? who are the top ten in media... its very useful for others. try it..

Pl dont change the name of your blog spot , which a very apt one.
If the most scandalous and juicy stories are emanating from EENADU group , you can't be faulted.

Keep the good work going. We are with you.

Till other day, I used to believe eveything said in Eenadu (Like a childhood belief that Govt takes are of best interests of citizens)Despite living thousands of miles away from homeland, I used to take sarcastic comment from my wife "Manishi ikkkada manasu akkada". The only weak point is to mother tounge. "Telugu mata - teney voota" as saying goes, Vikram, your Telugu language notes are sweeter than sweet. Secondly, thanks to recent events in AP, I started looking for alternative sources. Your recent blogs are eye opener for any "blind" followers. Keep it up! But, take care - you are walking on a sword

It seems your working against ramoji.

Why you are not writing about Girish Sanghi.
Please write about his treatment to staff.

do you know whether he is giving salaries.

Let Shabbir Ali's Ntv prevail.
Let land grabber Narendra's Ntv prevail.
Let Ramoji close his shop.
This is the slogan of this blog.

is vaartha, AJ, Andhra Bhoomi pay better and consistent salaries to employees? Please let us know how they pay also.. that is what the fairness is.

Its sad to know. People like Murthy are very loyal to the organisation. Chamchas like V-----------a will survive for some more time. Entire episode exposes the fate of Ramoji empire. I think Murthy will approach Donganotla Narendra Choudary. Which is going to be even worse than peddaina durbar.

hi readers of this blog.. can u assess who are the top ten journalists of ap..? if so write something about that in this coloumns.....

Has anybody read into the reports on the High Court's preceedings yesterday concerning Margadarsi?
Well, for the first time, Ramoji (thro' his lawyer Dewan ofcourse)
acknowledged that the Margadarsi deposit money was invested in his media organisations. He pleaded with the HC Bench to order issue of stayorders or status-quo orders on the GOs of the AP Govt.
What does this mean, and why is Ramoji so desperately pleading like this virtually going on his knees?
Because, as I see it, Ramoji knows too well that, if the Government or RBI authorities lay seize on Margadarsi activities, his house of Cards will collapse beyond any doubt. Adding to the grim situation, two depositors also filed cases against Margadarsi. The situation suddenly turned more serious where Eenadu and ETV are both sitting on egg shells and not on firm ground any longer. Once the funds flow from the Margadarsi feeder meets a stopper, Eenadu and ETV employees will be on the roads.
Everbody knows that 9 out of 11 ETV channels have been in the red for many years.RFC and Dolphins are in heavy losses. The lands they purchased in and around Hyderabad and RR Dt. are heading towards Court litigations.
Ramoji's attempts at selling shares to Blackstone.Inc of USofA
seem to have come to nought and so this pleading with the Judges apparently to stop the Govt's crusade and take the pressure off if only for a brief spell.
So, fellow journalists in Eenadu and ETV! get wise and get out at the first opportunity. Haven't you seen the mega-movie of James Cameroon's 'Titanic'? where it went down the Mediterranean sea just because of a minor scrap against an ice-berg. That is how Giants go down taking down all and everything with them.

I know Murthy as a good person for more than a decade.Tarined in Eenadu school of journalism and entered ETV.He is inspired by a lady journalist Sridevi (People might remember Sridevi a daring, dashing reporter, who created sensations by interviews of NTR,lakshmi parvati,Harikrishna etc, and many creative stories and documentaries. She was KSR's student long ago..i still remember her fist days in EENADU) I hear that she is now in US as a Techie..saw her reporting Madugula episode recently for EENADU. All the best Murthy..

Vorey Vikram,
Do you know this. One top guy in Eenadu has formed a CELL or a team of people to make negative comments on your blog on everthing that you say on Eenadu. You want to know who? The BLAH BLAH messages are triggered by the man who's making them BLEAT!
Hope you got the clue.
