Good insight on a person whom I have monitored silently over the past decade. All said and done KSR defintely is a walking memory bank on AP politics.
The spirit of "Keep walking" seems to have bit KSR. Great show man! Keep it up and "Keep walking..."

I think he writes in favour of TDP. He should be unbiased to grow as good journalist...

A small time land grabber wanted to start a tv station and he wanted a couple of seniors in it. We are only looking at Kommineni's salary. We all know what kind of freedom he is going to have in that channel. I think it'll not take long for him to rejoin print media.

being a regular reader , my request is please try to expose the APUWJ leaders also..
without bothering journalists welfare these union leaders became power brokers.they are spending union money lavishly.
try to expose one by one on your/our's blog.

I know Mr Rao for the last one decade and I have been observing his growth from Eenadu's general bureau chief to Andhra Jyothi. He is a very nice person, barring for his personal liking for TDP. As rightly pointed out, sky appears to be the only limit for media persons who are committed to the profession and are eager to learn more.

I could notice KSR hanging around Assembly library since 10.30 am to catch one quote for his weekly column. The young generation is hardly honing its skill the way the older generation has done in the past and is still doing in the present.

I wish Mr Rao a very bright future. and

Hope Mr YSR and KVP honours him by inducting as an MLC in the Eminent Persons quota of Governor.

As Per My Knowledge His Sal Is Not 75. its around 50 like that. its wonder. in telgu media also they r paying aroung 50-60 means we can assume how management will get. but still in our state so called journalists are drawing not more than 15000.
the poor people are no where. we r the poorer. is it or not. mydear friends.
but i think ksr will not stay in n channel. becoz there ll be no such a scope in ele media as in print media.

wait and see. the time will decide all the thing.

any way all the best ksr

Wow, good comment. No doubt, Your comment definitely inspire Telugu journalists who still believes their pen power. But can you tell me how many good journalists have fair chances to get a good deal? Is the caste really not playing any role in AP Media? If anyone other than Brahnin, Kamma or Reddy can get a leading position in leading media house in AP? Dont you see any journalist with below 5k salery despite capabilities like KSR?

I am requesting you dont encourage young minds to be with this Dirty caste riddent sector. Ok, If I am agreeing with your opinioin that pen power in even Telugu can fetches hefty packages like in English media. But Where is the oportunity? Remeber that KSR too did not get any fame durint his tenure in Eenadu. He went limelight only after quitting Eenadu. So, there are so many talented guys in Eenadu, but no one have the chances to know about them. They know about only NRK because he worked as Gen Sec to Journalists housing society. Everybody knows MNR, DN who throwed their pens long back.

Even the new ones or old ones can Accomodate only few individuals who rose with thier "additional" qualiffications. But cannot offer fair deals to a chunk of good journos who is already working under various organisations with very low saleries.

In my opinion, Now KSR is not at all wants a go getter positions. He wants to sit some where. And he wants to take rest. He is not a young journo like what you said. He almost reached his retirement stage. That's why he taken a lumpsum of 26 lacs from Narendra choudary as 3 years Salery and decided to quit Jyouthi. Vemuri sait to ready to give what KSR wants. But KSR not in a position to continue in Andhra Jyouthi because he wants a cool job. So, Will he be an asset for choudary? More over I dont think his voice and face will dominate the little screen. coz it requires some charming and acting.

So, Wait till April.

Vikram,
Is it true that Kommineni made Narendranath to deposit three years of his salary in a bank to play it safe? Please confirm this. If it is the case, its a harbinger of good times in Telugu journalism.
Ya, KSR is a highly meticulous man. Though he is not a earthshaking journalist, we must accept the fact that he has the knack of tapping sources. His copy is not that bad as someone commented in there columns.
As an insider I can say that its very much true that his caste fetched him a lot as it has been helping MNR, DNP, Rahul and others. These chaps call the shots in Eenadu, thanks to their caste. Ask the trio to produce a fair copy...I bet you; they will take ages to finish the work.
So many wonderful hands at Eenadu were relegated to backburner and people like KSR are being given a chance for reporting. Ramoji and his chamchas always try to get rid of seniors for obvious reasons. The organization is in for a heavy crash, if it doesn't realize the fact that seniority counts. To regain the past glory the first thing they should do is: closing down the MNR’s shop called Eenadu Journalism School.

It’s a nice professional blog (if it abstains from character assassination of some senior journalists) I am afraid to read some of the comments. This is just nothing but frustration of some seniors vented out after few pegs at press club in the evenings. Some of them are really “kite-flying.

Let me tell you few things.

1. So many new comers entered the fray to float news channels. A news channel cannot be started unless it has clearances of at least 5-6 ministries of central government.
2. As per the latest information none of Telugu television channels (24X7 News) were given permissions.
3. The normal course to obtain permissions for any news channel would take minimum of 7-8 months.(If you strongly push)
4. Let more and more people come with channel plans. Let our journos get their placements.
5. The problem is not setting up a channel but getting the right kind of talent for developing its content. ( Some names which are being heard for these channels are old horses but what is their contribution for television media and if so their success ratings)
6. The salaries promised for senior positions ranging from 50K to 75k. I do not think it’s a high figure when you compare to the market. Let them give. After all the managements (we know their tactics) have their own way of thinking.
7. Let some seniors of Print media realize that its really high time to change their mind-set.(by making loose comments out of sheer jealousy)
8. And many more to come…
9. ????????????????????????????????
