Sharma itching to be back at ToI!

Lambasting us for so readily apologising (with incorrect spelling) to “inveterate liar” Jyotirmaya Sharma on his behalf, our friend GS sent us a mail that’s more spy-cier than the last one. Here is the gist of what he said:

The mutual hatred between the lady editor of Hyderabad Times and JS is common knowledge. The exchange of words between the two was in the open after which the lady walked out of the meet following JS’ caustic remarks (he is good at semantics). The lady got even with him with her article in the supplement, commenting that some people (no marks for guessing who) had no idea of what fits P3 and what doesn’t!

I am not surprised over JS making peace with her now. Sharma is angling to regain the editor seat at Times, Hyderabad, and expressing “highest regard” for Hyd Times editor is just part of his game plan — making the right noises and pleasing the Gods at Times. Sharma, it doesn’t matter to me if you realise your ambition or not but let me make clear certain points. The world knows how you, as brand manager, created too many adversaries at ToI headquarters by rubbing many influential people on the wrong side. Further, you spared no effort at making life miserable for the first two editors of ToI Hyderabad. Remember, you almost killed Chandra? Thanks Heavens, he survived the stroke.
No wonder your detractors celebrated when recently you were forced to visit Warangal to attend court after being issued an NBW. They had fun imagining you meekly standing in the dock and pleading not guilty! Many know of your aspiration to be back at Times. I can imagine you jumping in joy in your lonely place when you got that invite from the Jains for the book launch function. You must have seen a ray of hope in that!! Now you don’t want anyone or anything standing between you and the coveted seat that was once yours. Reason why you took pains to respond to something that’s said, after all, in a neophyte blog!! Kingshuk, beware, someone is readying to nudge you out brazenly, in Aussie style!!

Whosoever is writing about Jyotirmaya Sharma is presenting a near correct profile. JS as brand manager not only nearly killed Chandra but as editor too he violated human rights. He tried to kick around some senior and very senior correspondents and tried to throw them out of Hyderabad edition. Just because they were not Jee Huzoor types. Ram Karan was one of those who used to dance to his tunes. He is no demi god. Back to JS. He transferred very senior correspondents to Hyderabad Times. One resigned the other survived and bounced back. JS stopped this correspondents increments for three years. JS successor tried to take correctiv measures but Ram Karan stood in way and injustice was perpetuated. Even now he did not get his due both in terms of salary and position. Thats TOI hyd. Is Delhi listening.

why people are not talking about JS has given a big lift to some simple and seetha-saatha journalists who's importance has been exposed only during cricket matches! and infact todays golden girl of badmiton sania was identified two years before by that person
